Ah, I can take my shoes off and relax.......all 56 emails have been sent out.
Penpals matched, armed and ready! Let the writing begin:)
That was a lot of work but I hope that everyone involved gets enjoyment out of it:) I did.

If there are any glitches, please contact me. I will try to help out as best I can. I am hoping everyone will write a letter but life sometimes gets in the way and things happen....so please be understanding if that occurs.

Registration now closed

Thanks everyone for participating! Now the fun begins. Registration is closed.

I will go through all your emails and try to match people up as best I can with the info you have sent me. I will send you each an email with the name and address of your partner and a bit of info about them. It is then all up to you!
Some ideas for your letters might be to include a photo of yourself and family, a post card from where you live, a favourite recipe, poem, memories of childhood, what you are up to today, dreams, favourite things, why you were compelled to sign on to this, etc. Just a few prompts:)

So now I have to get to work!
Cheers, Shelagh

Welcome to Artful Penpals!
If you enjoy writing letters and receiving them, this might be the place for you:) I am trying this as a one time event for now but if it proves popular, maybe we can do it again......

I had written a post in my blog a while ago about the joy of the written word and how lovely it is to hold a precious letter in your hand. Exciting to go to your post box and discover a wee personal treasure just for you, waiting to be opened. I was surprised at how many people felt the same way and longed for that kind of personal touch. So I thought I would facilitate a small, return to the handwritten letter ...."festival"!

To participate, all you have to do is send one letter, the kind of letter you would like to receive, to your penpal and they will do the same in kind. Lovely stationery, big bulky, slender elegant, something enclosed, it is up to you. I will match you with a writing partner. You don't need to have a blog to sign on. I will add your name/blog to the side bar once you have signed up:)

Now, here's what you have to do.....
Send an email to me here:
artfulpenpals AT gmail.com
and please tell me......

1.Your correct mailing address
2.Your blog address if you have one which I will post on the sidebar if you are participating.
3.Tell me if you are willing to send a letter anywhere in the world or just North America or Europe etc.
4. Let me know a bit about yourself so I will have an easier time of matching penpals up, hobbies, crafts, books, foods, movies, children, dreams etc:)
5. Get it to me before June 14th midnight when the registration closes:)

After the 14th of June I will then send each of you an email with your partner's address and some details and away you go!! Letters should be mailed to your partners by June 28th at the very latest. That gives you two weeks to do it:)

Feel free to pass this on:)
You might want to "follow" in case I have any updates which I am sure I will:)
I will probably be writing with some ideas for your letters.
